Accounting Clerk - 3 month contract

Location: Concord, Ontario

Salary: $ 20 per hour

Summary of the role:

This role is with a highly attractive and world-renowned brand. The client is looking for a dynamic person to help the accounts payable department. The candidate must be willing to work hard in a busy environment to ensure that the team is receiving the best possible support.

To be successful in this role:

You should have at least 2-3 years of A / P experience and hold a degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance. You have strong time management and organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Review and process invoices while ensuring accuracy of coding to the general ledger
  • Match purchase orders confirming prices and quantity to vendors invoices
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding invoicing, payment inquiries and discrepancies
  • Check Runs, Process Disbursements, Invoice Coding and Credit Memorandums
  • Using Accounting Software to Generate Reports and Compile Data
  • Identify Invoices for Payment and Obtain Approval
  • Photocopy, Scan and File Documents

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • 3+ Years Accounts Payable experience
  • GL accounts, coding invoices, capital expenses, familiar with GAAP
  • College or University Course in Accounting
  • Experience with Accounting Software
  • High Attention to Detail is a Must for this Role
  • Proficient Computer Literacy
  • Ability to Learn Quickly and Multi-Task
