The Role

If you enjoy taking care of customers and leading a team, consider joining us as a CMSDC Service Shop Manager.  You will be directly involved in effectively developing and managing service operations in a manner that promotes Customer Satisfaction, Market Dominance and Profitability.          

Job duties:

  • Learn, understand and support the culture and philosophy of how the service department handles business, customer interaction, resolving customer disputes, quoting, pricing philosophies, and employee management
  • Manage the day to day transactions, staffing and tooling to promote maximum asset utilization by scheduling and dispatching technicians to ensure smooth and timely repair progression
  • As work load requires, assist with and/or perform technician duties to include repairs, diagnoses, remove & install, write service reports, and other related duties
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, employee time posting and reviews, parts orders, service letter completions, quotes, and customer follow-up
  • Use service department reports to effectively manage within defined expectations
  • Develop and manage workforce to ensure quality work progression and employee growth and satisfaction
  • Assist in determining warranty and goodwill decisions
  • Communicate and follow up with customers to identify their needs and ways that Foley Equipment can support those needs
  • Make and communicate critical decisions consistently with leadership
  • Maintain and instill in your staff high levels of integrity, quality, urgency and teamwork
  • Complete all necessary documentation and follow up as required in a timely, orderly manner
  • Work with internal customers in a supportive and productive way in support of the goals of the company and not just the individual department
  • Maintain shop, tools, and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment
  • Participate in the on-call rotation

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working in a shop department
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and customer service experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Proven track record of positive employee relations and staff development
