Cook - Full-time
Full-time (5:00am - 1:30pm or 10:00am - 6:30pm): Position assists in providing nutritional care to 275 residents through accurate and sanitary food preparation via tray service, cleaning and sanitizing activities. Responsibilities include preparing breakfast, lunch and/or dinner items using standardized recipes, production sheets and production counts, preparing alternate menu items for all meals as well as items for special functions, and taking/recording temperatures of all hot food items to be served on the tray line. Performs all assembly positions for cooks on tray line and ensures cost containment through correct production, portioning, and sanitary food handling. Assists other staff (dietary aides, servers, etc.) as needed. High school diploma/GED required. Institutional food service experience highly preferred.
