Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the Terminal Fitter Supervisor is responsible for:

  • Supervision of terminal maintenance team to maintain LPG fixed and mobile equipment in terminal and customer sites in safe operable condition and in compliance with Origin and statutory requirements
  • Planning and executing schedule and breakdown maintenance to optimize equipment availability and achieving eAMS KPI’s.
  • Safety Critical Equipment are maintained in operational condition and escalating outage and prioritising remedial works
  • Maintain state of readiness ship discharge mooring facility
  • Participate in safe gas ship tanker discharge.
  • Prepare and carry out statutory inspection and testing in liaison with engineering team.
  • All maintenance activities to observe and comply with Permit to Work System and safe work procedures.
  • Supervise safe contractor work on site.
  • Provide safety leadership.
  • Report work related near misses and incident within set time frame
  • Support terminal manager with day to day safe operation of LPG terminal.

The person sought must have;

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering – Mechanical or Electrical
  • PETT – LP Gas – Fitter Machining or equivalent Trades Certificate & experience
  • Valid class 3 or 6 driving license
  • Knowledge of AS/NZ 1596 and AS/NZ 5601
  • At least 5 years experience in oil and gas industry
  • Experience in frontline supervision
  • Relevant Australian and international standards on engineering and LPG
  • OLMS Competency in open/close terminal, road tanker filling, terminal tank to tank transfer, operating emergency trailer, and hose person on two man tanker delivery
  • Project management skills and be proficient with MS Project
  • Computer literate and above average proficiency MS Word and Excel
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively & negotiate across all levels and must have strong customer focus
