Description

Main purpose of the role is to support the local strategy growth objectives, to ensure effective and proper financial procedures and systems are established with good corporate governance and internal controls are enforced in accordance with Group policies and guidelines to support business objectives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Head up and manage all financial, taxation, cash flow and funding matters in PNG according to ISS Group Policy
  • Manage ISS PNG's disbursement, Accounting/Finance and payroll teams
  • Act as financial advisor and business partner to General Manager in providing them with key decision-making information on strategically and tactical levels
  • Provide support to both local and regional management on financial analysis and budget process
  • To check and verify all financial transactions and to ensure that the transactions are properly managed and updated into the system on a timely manner
  • Advise management on areas of systems and process improvement
  • Lead the team through the internal and external audits
  • Review and authorise credit facitlies for new customers together with GM in accordance with group policy
  • Manage with further initiatives  from a local level to improve financial controls
  • Take leadership in prefunding compliance
  • Other ad hoc project assigned by the management

Establish good working relationships with the Regional / Cluster Management Team, Country General Manager, local accounts/finance department and other departments, as well as external and internal auditors.

  • Good IT literacy, ability to use the systems to achieve effective outcome from the scope of responsibilities

  • Able to prepare and present key information and monthly reports on time

Qualifications:

  • CPA or CA with more than 5 years experience
  • Prior experience in CPA firms
  • Previous experience in IFRS reporting
  • Experience with multinational reporting
  • Advanced IT skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently with a hands on attitude
  • Strong motivational skills
