Job Overview: The Structures Rover FSR (Field Service Rep) is considered an aircraft sheet metal artesian and structures subject matter expert (SME) for the program. The Structures Rover FSR/SME interfaces with the field on behalf of the Program Management Office (PMO) for field matters relating to aircraft structural inspection and repair. Candidate will provide assistance to sites to resolve complex technical issues to include conducting measurement/mapping of damage, determining airworthiness, developing repair sketches, and completing repairs per the SIRM or applicable technical direction. Using the highly developed skills and technical expertise required for this position, the SME will perform disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft structural systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and/or FAA regulations. Maintains FAA and Army required records, manuals and inspection forms. Reports to the Director of Maintenance. This SME supports the field in interpretation of technical data to resolve related discrepancies. Develops and implements plans to execute these requirements in cooperation with the other PMO Field Service Representatives and the Director of Maintenance (or appointee). When not traveling this SME will support the Field Service Representative Section of the PMO in technical writing/review; production of reports and Contract Deliverables. Primary Responsibilities: *Inspect and certify aircraft as required by customer, Government, and the FAA. *Ensure inventory spares and materials to include receiving, usage, reporting, shipping, transfer, scrap, and replenishment are handled using established company procedures. *Ensure timely submission of required reports and documents to Program Management and the Government. *Ensure that assigned company and Government owned/operated/possessed items are maintained. *Ensure required entries are made in the aircraft logbooks *Ensure compliance with quality and safety procedures/operations at the site level. *Ensure company rules, standards, regulations, and policies are adhered to, enforced, and initiate actions to correct infractions. *Perform collateral duties and responsibilities, as assigned by the Director of Maintenance (or appointee). Basic Hiring Criteria: *High School Diploma or equivalent *12 years of aircraft sheet metal experience, of which nine (9) years must be exempt-level. *A minimum of five (5) years of recent hands on structures experience. *A minimum of three (3) years of King Air hands on experience. *Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. *Must be able to travel frequently to other locations requiring overnight stay. *Must be able to lift 20 pounds routinely and 50 pounds on occasion. Desired Qualifications: *Bachelor's Degree plus four (4) years of experience or Associate's Degree plus eight (8) years related exempt experience may be substituted for High School plus 12 years. *Possession of an active Secret Clearance is a plus. *Cessna Citation (UC-35) experience is a plus. *FAA Airframe and Power plant license desired but not required. *Strong skills in reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals. *Good knowledge of aircraft systems and aircraft/flight line operations. *In-depth knowledge of manuals necessary to perform job including, but not limited to, Structural Inspection and Repair Manuals, Component Installation Manuals, System Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and technical information. *Extensive knowledge in fabrication of sheet metal and/or composite components and assemblies, aircraft parts per engineering drawings, sketches, advance designs, specifications and/or verbal instructions. *Strong skills in precision measuring using a variety of basic and physical measuring devices. *Strong skills it the use basic hand tools necessary to perform job. *Skills in the operation of ground support equipment as necessary to perform job. *Strong skills in the fabrication and/or assembly of various detail parts and components. *Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
