Note: This is a temporary position to fill in for a leave of absence.

The Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for creating and enacting employee training programs in conjunction with Royal goals, as well as Department of Health priorities. The SDC finds creative and interesting techniques to teach the information, helping employees to gain a solid understanding of the material. The SDC is also responsible for facilitating our General Orientation, as well as Dementia Training.  The Staff Development Coordinators also assist with the hiring and education of nurses' assistants through our internal training program.

Qualified candidates must possess a current nursing license in the Commonwealth of MA.  Associates degree from an accredited school is preferred.  Previous experience in staff development in a long-term care or other healthcare setting is preferred.  CPR certification is required.  Previous experience with Dementia/Geriatric psychiatry is preferred.
