Description

ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking to appoint a newly qualified and enthusiastic Management Accountant to join our growing team within our exciting and fast growing energy supply business based in Ipswich.

The role provides the opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide accounting support and analysis to Flow Home Solutions / Flow Products Ltd, Flowgroup plc and other Head Office entities.  To include transaction reporting and monthly financial reports.

  • Prepare, review and submit the group-wide VAT returns to HMRC.

  • Support Human Resources with the group wide payroll processing and payment.

  • Ensure inter-company accounts reconciled and all queries resolved

  • Ensure completeness of recording of income and expenditure.

  • Support in all day to day activity for the finance department which may include receivables, payables and general ledger.

  • The preparation, narrative and support of KPI and Management Reports in accordance with the timetable – daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly.

  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register and run depreciation schedules.

  • Maintenance of daily cash flow projections and actuals with analysis of variances.

  • Maintain POs and drive continuous improvement to enhance and potentially automate parts of the accounts payable process.

  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts.

 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the finance team of the Energy business on an ad-hoc basis as and when required.

  • Reconciliation of all key accounts within the General Ledger to include control accounts.

  • Appraisal of projects to include business development and additional products as required

 


EXPERIENCE

  • Management accounting experience within a fast growing and dynamic business subject to tight reporting deadlines.

  • Working with non-financial staff when reporting and to improve processes / performance.

  • Exposure to accounting for and reviewing of payroll

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong MS Excel skills to include look ups and data analysis.

  • Strong numeracy.

  • Strong financial and analytical skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferably a recently qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA) but candidates with significant experience will also be considered.
