Lutsen Resort on Lake Superior is seeking a full-time, year-round Executive Chef. The basic function of the Executive Chef is to coordinate and direct the training and activities of kitchen staff engaged in preparing and cooking food. The Executive Chef must ensure a consistent high-quality, profitable food service, while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen. This is a hands-on, working position. Must be able to handle the challenges of a seasonal resort with core staff and seasonal employees of all levels of training. Candidate must have strong culinary background, experience managing staff, be knowledgeable about food & labor cost control, preferably casual fine dining & banquet experience. Must be organized, efficient, and work well as a team player.
