Wauseon Machine & Manufacturing, Inc. is one of the nation’s leading Fanuc robotics systems integrators and has immediate openings for an exciting and challenging career opportunity for an Controls Engineer at our Standard & Custom Machinery build facility located in Wauseon, OH as well as our Dayton, OH Sales & Engineering office.

We are seeking a candidate with the necessary applicable experience and a track record of growth and success. This person will perform both electrical hardware design and PLC & HMI programming for custom automation and Fanuc robot systems to serve our automotive, defense, aerospace, medical, and consumer goods manufacturing industries.

He/she will report to our Controls Engineering Manager or Electrical Group Leader. Core Responsibilities This Electrical/Controls Engineering position executes the architectural electrical concept design, final electrical design, Bill of Material, release, and final documentation of both hardware and PLC HMI programming for custom machine and robot integration projects, per customer specifications/requirements. Develop Electrical Engineering designs including; all electrical schematics using AutoCad, panel layout, panel design, and bill of materials for machinery and equipment Conduct the fluid power (i.e., hydraulic / pneumatic design) design, peripheral device programming, machine interface programming, and machine validation with build and electrical teams. Provide technical support for assembly, sales, and service. Ability to Review and understand current machine prints to formulate solutions Excellent customer communication and teamwork skills in leading electrical concept and final design reviews. Travel to customer sites for installation and startup support of custom machinery and automation. Travel will be minimal (i.e., 10-15%) as Wauseon Machine places a high emphasis on work/home-life balance.
