Under general supervision of the AVP of Human Resources and Education, the Senior Human Resources Officer is responsible for performing a variety of duties supporting the Human Resources and Education functions.

Some of the responsibilities are;
With oversight from the AVP of Human Resources and Education, supports the administration of executive level benefits, including special benefits and retirement benefits.
With oversight from the AVP of Human Resources and Education, assists with special projects related to Human Resources and/or Education. May take on a lead role during duration of project as assistance is required from other staff members.
Possesses the ability to maintain confidential information in a professional, discrete manner.
Possesses the ability to use critical thinking and analytical skills.
With considerable discretion, judgment, tact and confidentiality, interacts with vendors and/or legal counsel as required in support of executive benefits administration and special projects.
Communicates in writing or verbally, detailed information related to assigned duties to AVP of Human Resources and Education and/or Chief Financial Officer.
Maintains and safeguards confidential employee records, in accordance with prescribed duties which may include personnel files, other records and information.
Gathers, reviews, and interprets data collected and makes recommendations to AVP of Human Resources and Education and/or Chief Financial Officer based on findings.
Follows policies and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Identification Program (CIP) to ensure daily compliance with current regulations.

Some of the requirements of the job are;
Preferred Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Human Resources, Business, or related field, with preferred 3-5 years of human resource related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job
Ability to write clear and concise reports and correspondence
Ability to make effective presentations and to answer questions clearly and accurately.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, using various mathematical methods.
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and machines.
Ability to be dressed professionally.
Ability to be bonded.
