Purchasing Manager (Leicestershire)

Think Staffing Solutions have an incredible opportunity for a purchasing manager to join our clients team in Leicestershire on a full time, permanent basis. As the purchasing manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead the purchasing team and manage daily purchasing operation. Also sourcing related tasks, such as contract negotiations, tender instigation and resolution are part of the job. You will be responsible for customer satisfaction by guaranteeing the quick response on customer requests and local spare part availability in cooperation with depots. This is an opportunity for an experience purchasing manager to join the business and make the role their own. 

Job Requirements (Purchasing Manager)

• Centralised development of purchasing strategy, procurement activities & line management 
• Forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels to maximise business efficiency
• Managing business integration for the spare parts supply network and local warehousing operations
• Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers to ensure best value for all
• Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them
• Processing purchases, payments and invoices
• Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors

You (Purchasing Manager)

• Experienced purchasing manager who is CIPS Qualified with A good educational background (SAP experience is desirable)
• Proven experience of managing projects, negotiating key contracts and sourcing innovative suppliers to suit business dynamics
• Drive – someone who is self-motivated, and career driven with a strong sense of urgency, enthusiasm and commitment
• Leading and Managing Change – A fast learner who rapidly moves up the learning curve. Someone who embraces change and is willing to adapt and take on new responsibilities
• Delivery of Sustainable Results – Strong results-oriented mentality with a continuous cost focus; drives cost/value initiatives
• Strong team player working across multiple disciplines and levels – this purchasing manager is a true 'hands on' role which will require involvement in the creation, administration and the handling of procurement processes
