Job Description


Caliburn is currently seeking a Manager of Consolidation & Financial Reporting for our headquarters in Reston, VA. In this position, you will report to the Director of Financial Reporting. As a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, you will provide leadership and direction for the Company’s corporate accounting function. Individuals seeking a challenging, multi-faceted position in a fast-paced work environment will enjoy the diverse responsibilities of this key position.

The primary responsibilities of the Manager of Consolidation & Financial Reporting include the following:
Prepare period-end consolidation and financial statements, including cash flow statement
Conduct high-level analysis of the general ledger accounts
Development and preparation of the monthly controller report
Support monthly KPI flash reporting
Manage global chart of accounts
Lead the design, testing, and implementation of the company’s consolidation system solution in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal reporting requirements
Develop intercompany policies and procedures, including intercompany reconciliations
Research and resolve intercompany data discrepancies throughout the month
Work with Corporate Controller and Corporate FP&A to prepare external information or respond to management questions
Extracting and preparing ad hoc reports for management
Coordinate and collaborate with auditors to address audit requests and inquiries
Assist in the development and implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley compliant internal controls
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
8+ years of accounting experience
Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
Experience auditing or using HFM, SAP or other enterprise financial reporting system
Strong organizational, analytical and written/verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner
Ability to work well with senior management and across functions to achieve business objectives
Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency
Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
