We are seeking professional, self-motivated and reliable Accountant to join their small accounting department. This position will compile, consolidate and analyze information needed for internal and external reporting, fiscal planning, and special projects. Compensation for this direct hire opportunity is based on skills and experience.

 Renumeration: $50,000-$60,000 per year

 Main Responsibilities: 

      •Assist with month-end closing

      •Prepare month-end journal entries and reconcile accounts and bank statements

      •Verify and maintain general ledger detail and investigate, correct, and follow-up on any inaccuracies identified

      •Research, analyze and interpret financial results

      •Prepare various financial and managerial reports including, but not limited to ranking, production activity and comparison information; develop supporting documentation

      •Prepare schedules and provide support to external auditors to ensure the accuracy of information and compliance with established accounting principles and company policies

      •Prepare monthly bank reconciliations

      •Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital, and prepare balance sheet; oversee inventory lists and reconciliation

      •Support commission processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, and perform calculations, prepare statements and generate checks •Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures

    •Assist with implementing new systems/processes, as needed, in the accounting department

Key Requirements: 

        •Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business strongly preferred; equivalent work experience and education will be considered

        •Must possess a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills

        •Must possess effective oral and written communication skills and be able to work effectively as a team member

        •Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency in Excel and demonstrated proficiency with accounting software

        •Effective interpersonal skills, a customer-service focus and the ability to work as a member in a team-oriented environment

      •Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
