Lutsen Resort on Lake Superior is accepting applications for a full-time, year-round Project Manager. The Project Manager will ensure a good working relationship with sub-contractors, owners, and maintenance department. This position will work with General Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and Maintenance Director on remodel projects. Duties will include ordering, securing contractors, bids and estimates, managing contractors, and communicating with owners.


  • Work with general manager, resort ownership and unit ownership on all capital improvement projects, new development projects, common area projects, and unit remodels
  • Generate accurate estimates and secure contractors
  • Execute PIPs
  • Reconcile project invoices and billing
  • Delegate jobs and monitor progress
  • Work with owners as needed to resolve issues and concerns
  • Assist with project budget preparation and work within budget
  • Participate in the overall management planning, training, and decision making in regard to projects
  • Assist Quality Assurance Manager and Maintenance Director as needed


  • Associate’s degree and four years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Effective and professional written and verbal communication
  • Experience working with budgets
  • Computer skills to include Internet, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Safety conscious, detail-oriented, and timeline driven
  • Experience working in hospitality industry a plus
  • Valid driver’s license
