Description

Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Location: Rockland, MA

Position Overview:
Performs administrative support in all aspects of Human Resources. Coordinates and follow HR processes, acts independently in administering, communicating and providing regular guidance to employees, relative to Rockland policies, procedures and guidelines. Serves as a first level escalation resource for routine / non-routine issues brought up by employees by informing the HR Manager. .

Position Duties:
1. Follows a variety of defined procedures within functional disciplines such as benefits, compensation, staffing, employee relations, running reports, and other assignments as assigned
2. Handles problems which require identifying some solutions, selecting from alternative courses of action . Provide reports and other administrative support requested by the Plant Manager
3. Administers internal / external hourly hiring and internal posting process. Includes MESP test and new employee orientation.
4. Serves as a resource person to all levels of employees regarding policies, procedures, guidelines and practice
5. Coordinates on and off site meetings, presentations and conferences
6. may coordinate and or participate on various special project teams and workplace committees
7. Exercise discretion in mattes of confidentiality.
8. interaction is focused on answering routine and non-routine questions. Exchanges information with an audience which is typically knowledgeable in the subject area.
9. Able to quickly learn / HR systems.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum High school degree or equivalent education is required. A technical/vocational/trade school degree (2-3 years after high school) in a administrative field including Human Resources
• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant working experience
• Strong knowledge of spreadsheets, organizational skills, must be organized, able to multi-task, ability to work and promote a diverse work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 1-3 years experience in the HR Profession
• Knowledgeable of policies, procedure, practices and techniques within a functional discipline such as but not limited to compensation, staffing, organization development, employee relations, etc.

Soft Skills: Strong computer skills (excel, power point), able to do presentations to different functional groups

Core Hours: 8am to 5:00 pm

Position is a support role requiring more work direction whereby worker follows generally defined procedures. Worker will provide seamless client service in partnership with the recruiting consultant to include conducting all compliance checks prior to requisition posting, offer data review, hiring manager assistance with system support in a high volume, fast paced recruiting environment. This position will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties. Provide professional recruiter support and customer service hiring managers and job seekers (internal/external); Assist hiring managers and jobseekers with system navigation and troubleshooting; Consult with recruiters, hiring managers and human resources to ensure compliance with local law and regulations as well as applicable policies; Prepare and analyze detailed quarterly business recruitment reports/metrics; Presentations to Leadership; Coordinate candidate in-person and phone interviews; Active participation on project teams as assigned; Assist the recruiting consultant with dispositioning of candidates; May support on-boarding and global diversity activities/events as well as career fairs.
