Job Title: Senior Human Resource Generalist

Job Purpose

The Senior Human Resource Generalist is responsible to provide support and oversee the company's HR functions, including but not limited to, benefit and payroll administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior Human Resource Generalist duties include but are not limited to:

Benefit Administration
•Prepare and communicate information to employees and former employees about benefit programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated reports •Approve and reconcile benefit-related invoices and submit to A/P for timely payment •Ensure proper and timely delivery of benefit payroll deductions in employees' accounts and funds for the 401k and HSA accounts •Process Affordable Care Act (ACA) data and reporting •Orient newly eligible employees and process enrollments, changes and loan requests •Maintain employee benefits data in automated online information systems •Assist with audits to benefit plans for compliance with government regulations •Address benefit-related concerns and inquiries
Payroll
•Oversee the payroll administration. •Evaluate and troubleshoot payroll duties •Perform the following tasks as needed: •Update all employee information in the HRIS system, including address changes, pay increases, EEO information, benefit deductions, direct deposits, etc. •Process payroll through the company payroll system •Process employment verification requests for all employees •Maintain payroll employee master files as changes occur •Ensure proper filing of federal and state payroll taxes by company payroll system •Ensure proper reporting to labor statistics to states on a monthly basis •Maintain and manage accurate PTO balances
Human Resource Administration:
•Supervise and provide support to payroll and recruitment functions within the HR Department •Deliver company employee information as necessary •Provide courteous and prompt resolution of employee inquiries •Partner with company Managers in performance management items •Assist HR Team with special projects
Job Qualifications
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint •Integrated knowledge and understanding of Human Resource practices and procedures, including federal, state and local employment laws •Experience with performance management •Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills within different levels of the organization •Sound judgement and decision making capabilities •Ability to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities •Detail oriented, with strong organizational skills •Strong understanding of basic math skills •Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment •Knowledge of DOT regulations a plus
Education and/or Experience
•8-10+ years of Human Resource Experience •2-5+ years of Supervisory Experience •Experience processing multi-state payroll systems required; Ultimate Software a plus •Experience in recruitment required •Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
