Description

This role is responsible to assist in providing IT engineering services, estimates & designs leveraging best practices and standards.
· Facilitate training key remote DR support personnel, on roles and responsibilities
· Recommend enhancements to DR core infrastructure and overall efficiencies
· Coordinate documentation of disaster recovery plans
· Actively manage and coordinate the testing schedules, objectives, exercises and post mortem reviews
· Coordinate the implementation and reporting of replication software and tape backup cycling processes
· Assume management level responsibilities for coordinating and facilitating the recovery process in the event of an actual outage or disaster
· Manage the DR requirements gathering for business criticality rated 3, 2 and 1 services and coordinate the procurement and implementation of associated IT DR assets
· Analyze test results and compile reports on test performance and overall DR preparedness
· Prepare Senior level IT management DR presentations
. Manage the recovery in the event of an actual DR activation

Responsible for providing senior level installation, maintenance, monitoring and support for production databases, including problem resolution and recovery, as well as assistance with production applications including emergency off-hour support
· Responsible for specification and development of systems for capturing and tracking database performance metrics, database and application performance monitoring, evaluation and recommendations
· Provide senior-level technical support for the client and 3rd party developed server applications, including software installation, upgrades, problem diagnosis, performance monitoring, evaluation and tuning recommendations
· Responsible for staying current on new hardware and software developments, evaluating alternative approaches and recommending new hardware/software modifications which will enhance service
· Provide leadership with diagnosis, escalate as appropriate to management and communicate to other support staff during critical system outages
· Develop and implement of backup/restore, disaster recovery and data replication procedures
· Create and maintain documentation of guidelines and standards for specific technologies
· Participate in project work and troubleshooting related to client Server and Windows environments
. May lead a team of DBAs
