Seeking Information Technology Specialist - COVID Support - Afghanistan

Caliburn is currently seeking Information Technology (IT) Specialist to support COVID-19 mission at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan. This is a temporary position and length of assignment may vary based on operational needs and client requirements. This position reports to the site program manager at on-site clinic health unit.

*This is a Notional position pending contract award*** 

Location: Deploying to Bagram, Afghanistan

The primary responsibilities of the Position include the following:
Supports end-users with IT-related problems in a responsive and service-oriented manner.
Sets up manages and maintains IT-related equipment.
Monitors backup jobs and ensures a high level of completion success rate.
Helps put processes in place to maintain a stable network environment.
Trains staff with IT related equipment and software.
Assists with the troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of systems.
Maintains hardware and software maintenance agreements to ensure the integrity of operations processes.
Thoroughly exercises skill in initiative, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making daily.
Makes independent judgments and prioritizes workload.
Demonstrates proven success in stressful environments.
Pursues professional development activities and continuing education to ensure currency with present practices and trends in healthcare and specifically in the practice of emergency medical treatment.
Monitors reconciliation of financial transactions and ensures contract charges are applied uniformly.
Protects patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures, assuring consistent medication administration, and assuring proper storage and maintenance procedures for all equipment and supplies.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requires an Associate’s Degree from an accredited school. Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems or related degree preferred.
3 years of recent experience in information technology.
Deployment experience is very desirable.
Strong Desktop background.
Experience in satellite communications strongly desirable.
Experience with Motorola and Condan radio equipment very desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner.
Ability to work well with senior management and across functions to achieve business objectives.
Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency.
Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Must have a current U.S. passport.
All U.S. Personnel must attend Conus Replacement Center (CRC) Training.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Clearance.

Physical Requirements:
Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment; including protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor and chemical/biological protective garments or conditions that would prevent the capability of donning, lifting or carrying of up to 70 lbs. of referenced gear while running to a bunker or protected area in the face of perceived or imminent danger.
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
Location of services may at times be in remote, austere or challenging environments.
May require bending, stooping and lifting as required for patient care and transport.
