Dale Rogers Training Center - Floor Tech

  • Location: Oklahoma City, OK (Tinker Area)
  • Environment: Industrial / Large‑scale facility
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday,
  • Shift: 4 PM - 12 AM
  • Pay: $17.75 per hour

Dale Rogers Training Center (DRTC) is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Floor Tech to support custodial operations in an industrial environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and professional facilities and enjoys working independently.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and burnishing
  • Operate floor care equipment such as auto‑scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, and carpet extractors
  • Strip and wax floors according to schedule and facility standards
  • Vacuum carpets and perform spot cleaning or deep cleaning as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of hallways, entryways, and high‑traffic areas
  • Follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE
  • Report equipment malfunctions or supply needs to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of floor care or custodial experience preferred
  • Knowledge of floor types (VCT, tile, carpet, concrete) and proper cleaning techniques
  • Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Hiring Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have Real ID
  • Must pass required background screenings
  • Must meet badge requirements for assigned buildings
  • Must have reliable transportation to Midwest City worksite

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand and walk for up to 8 hours
  • Lift up to 50 lbs vertically and horizontally
  • Bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and operate floor equipment
  • Work in an industrial environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
