Job Summary
The Sidus Space Mission Operations Network and Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for managing the Sidus Mission Operation Center (MOC) ground network (located in Merritt Island, Florida) and Sidus Network operations located in Cape Canaveral, FL.  The MOC is a dedicated, private network architecture that must maintain availability daily to include secure/private links to our LizzieSat satellite constellation, External Flight Test Platforms (EFTP), Phoenix Deployer, etc.) and private/secure links to partners sites that critical for successful Mission Operations.   Remote sites interfaces include NASA Centers via Huntsville Operations Control Center (HOSC), ground site network vendor, command and control software service provider, cloud-based services that route data/applications between locations, and payload/science-centers/customer sites.    This lead engineer is a highly functioning seasoned IT professional that provides subject matter expert proficiency within the Cybersecurity and Network Engineering family.  He/she will develop and apply technical expertise and leadership in two or more IT disciplines that support the technical infrastructure. This includes technologies, systems, networks, data architectures, capacity planning, performance management, security, and configuration management.

Deploy and maintain an efficient, cost effective, reliable ground network for space mission operations
Implement IT Security Solutions and assure successful implementation.
Establish program control processes to ensure mitigation of risk.
Research and implementation of hardware.
Emerging technology research.
Perform analyses to validate established security requirements, recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
Interact with company leaders.
Build lasting professional network through engaging activities and social events.

Required Skills
Knowledge of security principles, policies, and regulations.
Knowledge of Cyber Security documentation management, security and privacy rules.
Able to multitask, prioritize task and projects, as well as manage time efficiently
Able to analyze problems and strategize for best solutions
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree in cyber security, computer science, electronics engineering, or other related discipline.  Master’s degree in related field preferred; Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Five (5) years’ experience in cyber and/or network security
Mission Operations experience in command and data handling
Experience with hardware/software integration with various command and telemetry applications
Experience in a publicly traded company and/or government contracting preferred
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Microsoft Teams
Proficiency with cloud-based applications and usage for high rate, robust, secure data transfer

All candidates selected will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen
To conform to U.S. Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
