Description

Assists the Fiscal Department with various accounting and fiscal affairs of the agency while complying with approved agency policies. Maintains confidentiality regarding status of individuals or matters pertaining to the administrative function of the agency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Accounting or 10 years accounting experience with BS degree in another field required.
  • CPA preferred
  • ERP experience required, NetSuite experience preferred

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma Drivers License
  • Must be able to pass OSBI, MVR, DHS Registry Check and any other background checks as agency requires or deems necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have regular and punctual attendance
  • Must be able to make quick and logical decisions.
  • Good attention to detail
  • Capable of completing full accrual financial statements and understand/work with multiple budgets as backup to CFO and various departmental tasks.
  • Must have experience with various types of business accounting, general administrative and computer knowledge, and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Presents a positive attitude and is a quick learner.
  • Ability to work with portable ladders up to 20 feet, while maintaining safety standards

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business written material, job specific procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, participants, funders and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires sitting for prolonged periods of time using a computer keyboard and screen.
  • The position requires standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, crouching and kneeling. May also grasp, push, pull, drag and move boxes of files and other office items weighing 25 pounds or less.
  • Must have mobility, vision, hearing and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed.

NOTE - Staff will be counseled for failure to adhere to maximum weights or for non-use of required Safety Equipment.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Hours may vary according to agency’s needs. Normal working hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday with 1 hour for lunch. This position is exempt and does not receive overtime pay. Primary work environment is office/indoor, moderate noise level, climate controlled.

This position is classified under Primary Remote Work Designation - approximately 80% of job functions can be typically completed remotely based on a 40 hour per week work schedule. Eligible for between 24 and 32 hours per week of remote work. Remote hours are not guaranteed and staff are eligible for up to this amount of remote work, based on agency need.

SUPERVISES:

· Accounting Assistant

· Accounts Payable Assistant

CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING REQUIRED: (At Agency's Expense)

· Ongoing training for job specific, professional and personal development.

RESPONSIBILITIES – Essential Functions:

  • Oversight accounts payable and assist where needed
  • Manage month-end close
  • Prepare and submit federal contracts sales invoices
  • Prepare monthly accrual journal entries
  • Review general ledger for appropriate classification in accordance with federal grants and funding sources
  • Maintain fixed asset records
  • Perform operating and designated funds accounting
  • Monthly bank account reconciliations
  • Monthly general ledger account reconciliations
  • Assist CFO with monthly budget/financial reports and provide analysis as needed
  • Assist with annual financial audit and other regulatory reviews as required
  • Prepare and submit quarterly SourceAmerica ERS and QER reports
  • Prepare annual unclaimed property report
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting requests
  • Maintain Accounting Manager operations manual
  • Oversight Accounting Assistant and Accounts Payable Assistant’s operations manuals
  • Assist on projects as needed

RESPONSIBILITIES – Ancillary Functions:

  • Backup to Payroll Manager
  • Performs office duties such as filing, record keeping, and storage filing
  • Other duties as assigned
