Description

This position is responsible for setting goals and objectives, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting all training programs, to include training employees on DRTC policies, procedures, safety, security and job-specific skills. Training will vary depending upon the individual needs and contract assignment. Duration of training will vary depending on the training curriculum, and the individual’s skills and abilities. This position will be responsible for assisting employees with access to computers in the training room.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, (Preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in management, (Preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in janitorial services is required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in curriculum development and instruction of training material.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and presentation software.
  • Ability to operate media equipment such as projectors and personal computers.
  • Knowledgeable in traditional and modern training methods and techniques, learning management systems, instructional design, and e-learning platforms.
  • Excellent time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional public-speaking, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced in training and supporting people with disabilities in the workplace, (Preferred).
  • Must possess reliable personal transportation, maintained in good operational order to travel to other contract sites, (FAA, GSA, Main Campus, etc.)

Hiring Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver License; must provide copy to Human Resources office upon hire and upon renewal.
  • Must be able to pass background check agency deems necessary.
  • Must meet badge requirements for all assigned buildings.\

Job Conditions:

Normal working hours are from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Flexible hours are often required to meet agency needs.

This position requires the availability to work evenings as needed to meet training requirements.

This position is non-exempt and receives overtime pay at one- and one-half times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked over 40 hours in a workweek beginning Saturday 12:00am through Friday midnight

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to understand and interpret written and oral instructions, and diagrams.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to recognize and assess the defined quality requirements to fulfill the Performance Work Statement and/or Statement of Work, (i.e. contract stipulations).
  • Ability to assess and analyze data with accuracy, responsible to collect and manage data.
  • Skilled in problem analysis, resolution/troubleshooting.
  • Possesses mathematical aptitude to perform mathematical transactions in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Professional dress, speech, and conduct in keeping with the Agency’s business dress code and expectations, is a must.
  • Ability to respond to employees’ needs effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Exceptional organization, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, manage multiple assignments.
  • Assist with supervision of new hires while in new hire training during their first 4 days of employment.
  • Must maintain state mandated minimum liability insurance on personal vehicles; must provide copy of insurance Declaration Page to the Human Resources office upon hire and upon renewal.
  • Vehicles must pass bi-annual motor vehicle registry (MVR) checks with established agency guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

  • May include prolonged standing or sitting for up to eight hours
  • Able to move/relocate maximum weight of 25 pound at a maximum distance of 25 feet
  • Ability to articulate orally and hear.
  • Able to operate motor vehicle

Responsibilities – Essential Functions:

  • Review training materials from multiple sources and choose appropriate materials.
  • Develops teaching materials and obtains approval of new procedures or procedural changes through the custodial process.
  • Create, schedule, and coordinate training programs, using a variety of instructional techniques.
  • Design training sessions tailored to specific roles on each contract.
  • Attend meetings with managers and supervisors to determine training needs
  • Provide instruction on safety and security to employees.
  • Teach skills such as computer applications, phone systems, product assembly, policies and procedures, and inventory planning.
  • Assist with the use of computer software, applications, and web-based activity
  • Perform onsite evaluation of employee’s job performance at their work location, and identify areas where skills need improvement.
  • Expected to perform hands-on skills training to demonstrate proper cleaning procedures.
  • Report to Payroll and Fiscal when new hire employees need to be switched in the time keeping system from the Training code to the Custodian code, by the end of the working shift, on the last day of new hire training.
  • Keep abreast of training topics, trends, technological advances and company policies.
  • Maintain technical knowledge pertaining to education and training by reviewing publications and through continual educational channels.
  • Identify and assess training needs within the company; make recommendations for training programs
  • Ensure the security of all training lab technology; and maintain and regulate all assigned computers, network hardware, peripherals, and printing machines to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Report all computer-related issues to the Quality Assurance Training and Transportation Manager to DRTC’s Technology Department.
  • Report all unsafe conditions, accidents, or injuries immediately to the Quality Assurance Training and Transportation Manager
