Description

Essential Functions: 

 

—  Moves subcontract supplies from the warehouse to the work floors utilizing appropriate equipment, i.e. pallet jacks, as needed.

—  Works on the various contracts and follows the Job Task Analysis to complete the project requirements.

—  Distributes sub-contract work to ensure individuals always have paid work available.

—  Removes product from production floors, inspects product to ensure quality control and prepares for shipment. Labels and palletizes customer product for shipping.

—  Assists in work floor clean up, removal of completed production and set up for the following day.

—  possesses a working knowledge of time study procedures, performs and participates in them as requested.

—  Visually surveys work areas and ensure the safety of individuals and basic cleanliness.

—  Maintains the dock and warehouse area to ensure cleanliness, to include the cleanliness of the dock area, and plastic curtains.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (G.E.D., HiSET, TASC)
  • Experience with developmentally disabled population preferred
  • Experience in light industrial work

 

Hiring requirements:

  • 18 years old or older
  • Pass OSBI, MVR, DHS Registry Check, reference checks, pre-employment drug test and any other background check as Agency requires or deems necessary.

Physical requirements:

The following physical requirements are necessary to meet this Job Description:

  • Standing and/or sitting for up to eight hours
  • Able to move a maximum weight of 50 pound vertically, 25 pounds horizontally, and relocate the described weights a maximum distance of 100 feet.
  • Able to demonstrate adequate dexterity skills.
  • Adequate vision to perform essential functions of the job.
  • Additional physical requirements may include sitting, bending, stooping, lifting, grasping and stretching, depending on assignment.

 

Job conditions:

Normal working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (with 30 minutes for lunch at the agency). Two fifteen-minute breaks, if scheduling allows.

 

This position is non-exempt and receives overtime pay at one- and one-half times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked over 40 hours in a workweek beginning Saturday 12:00am through Friday midnight.
