Description

Supervises Custodians and ensures that overall cleaning and appearance of assigned areas meets specifications for current contracts.

JOBSITE: FAA

REPORTS TO:  Supervisor

SUPERVISES:  Assigned Custodians

WAGES:  $19.00/hr

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Custodial knowledge and 1 year experience required
  • Supervisory experience, preferred
  • Proven leadership skills required

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Must be able to pass background checks that are required to enter work site and any other background check agency deems necessary
  • Must meet badge requirements for all assigned buildings

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have regular and punctual attendance
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver License
  • Must have own transportation
  • Maintain personal vehicle which is in good operational order to transport Custodians to assigned buildings
  • Maintain state mandated minimum liability insurance on personal vehicle used to transport Custodians; must provide copy of insurance Declaration Page to the Human Resources office upon hire and upon renewal.
  • Pass bi-annual motor vehicle registry (MVR) checks with established agency guidelines
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver License; must provide copy to Human Resources office upon hire and upon renewal
  • Must provide record of annual flu vaccine or be willing to submit to annual flu vaccine, if assigned to clean/maintain the Child Development Centers at Tinker Air Force Base

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing up to eight hours
  • Able to move maximum weight of 50 pounds vertically
  • Able to move maximum weight of 25 pounds horizontally
  • Able to relocate the above described weights a maximum distance of 100 feet
  • The position requires standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, crouching and kneeling. May also grasp, push, pull, drag and lift equipment and other items.
  • Must have mobility, vision, and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed

NOTE – Employee will be coached for failure to adhere to the maximum weights or for non-use of required Safety Equipment.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Working hours vary according to availability of shifts

This position is non-exempt and receives overtime pay at one and one half times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked over 40 hours in a workweek beginning Saturday 12:00am through Friday midnight.

RESPONSIBILITIES – Essential Functions:

  • Accountable for Custodians and/or employees as assigned
  • Address any questions or situations that Custodians may have
  • Check assigned areas for cleanliness and appearance according to the specifications of the current contract
  • Ensure employee has correct supplies and equipment needed to perform job duties
  • Complete required inspections as assigned by Contract Manager
  • Accountable for carrying, maintaining and proper use of a company cellular telephone that will only be used for company business
  • Assists in training new employees
  • Performs Custodial duties whenever needed in accordance to cleaning schedule following the specifications of the current contract
  • Performs Custodial or other request at other contract sites within DRTC
  • Assist with maintaining supplies and equipment
  • Assist with maintaining supply closet or storage area in clean and organized matter
  • Performs preventive maintenance as needed
  • Completes required documentation in a timely manner, i.e., Lead Reports, Mileage Reports, etc.
  • Must meet badge requirements for all their assigned buildings
  • Responsible for reporting emergencies at contract sites to Supervisor on duty.
  • Mandatory participation in special events as designated by management; examples include but are not limited to Tinker Air Show, Emergency Disaster Response.
