The Role

The Power Solutions Business Manager is responsible for the successful operation and marketing of Foley’s Power Solutions capabilities. This includes profit/loss, operational performance, cost of operation, maintenance, operational safety, and compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Formulate overall strategy, manage people, establish policies, control budget and set goals for growth.

Job duties:

  • Develop the business and operational strategy that will result in efficiency and profitability. Implement processes, procedures, policies and systems. Ensure business growth, maximize asset utilization. Design control and implement improvements
  • Maintain benchmark levels market share and profitability as measured by management
  • Plan, monitor, and control budgets and expenses to ensure profits consistent with business goals
  • Create, with required management, annual budgets and annual plan to include objectives and goals and other business plans
  • Promote employee satisfaction by ensuring complete and timely performance appraisals, as well as conduct appropriate employee counseling, career development, and succession planning to ensure success
  • Make and communicate critical decisions consistently with leadership, integrity, quality, urgency and teamwork
  • Drive customer satisfaction and increased customer loyalty through proactive communications and follow up with customers to identify their needs and assist in the development of solutions to address those needs
  • Work with internal customers in a supportive and productive way in support of the goals of the company and not just the individual department
  • Travel as needed for business purposes

Our Ideal Candidate

  • At least ten (10) years of experience in the power solutions business i.e. EPG, generators, etc.
  • At least 5 years in a business operations role
  • Previous management of people a must, multi-store management experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to be proactive and strategic, as well as tactical
  • Strong knowledge of assigned industry
  • Familiarity with forecasting, ordering, inventories control and terms management
  • Strong motivation and self-starting initiative is required with strong sales ability
  • Ability to empower, lead and develop employees

What will put you ahead:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred
  • Five or more years of sales experience in the electrical industry
