SITECH Chesapeake, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carter Machinery Company, Inc., is hiring an Inside Sales Representative. SITECH is the authorized dealer for Trimble Heavy and Civil construction products and services, as well as Accugrade grade-control products, with a territory covering Maryland, the pan handle of West Virginia, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and the shores of Delaware. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting for new opportunities to grow the supplies, service and rental business. Duties include collaborating with field sales team members to develop and deliver products and solutions for customers, performing lead generations, and assisting with quoting activities for the field sales team. Seeking candidates with a minimum of two years’ experience in customer service, with demonstrated success in a sales environment. Experience in the construction industry preferred. College degree in a related field preferred.

Requirements for the Inside Sales Representative position include:

  • Excellent sales and customer service skills.
  • Ability to proactively manage customer accounts and build strong relationships with up to 300 accounts.
  • Able to function well in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and pay close attention to details.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, such as Salesforce.
  • Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to travel and work hours required to meet job and customer demand.

Physical requirements must be met for the Inside Sales Representative job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight.This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned.
