You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources or Organizational Development, preferably with experience and knowledge in learning and and development.
  • Ability to design and develop training and development programs.
  • Ability to use technology and be knowledgeable of tools and trends in learning and development.
  • Training facilitation skills.
  • Computer skills including Office 365
  • Knowledge and experience with Learning Management Systems, preferably Success Factors as well as authoring tools.
  • Be creative and open to change.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence others.
  • Ability to be responsive and focus on assisting and supporting field HR and other internal customers.

Your Purpose:

You will be responsible for defining the strategy and coordinating the learning and development process and system for Gerdau North America. You will function as a process expert in these processes, acts as a liason with the Global Center of Expertise and supports the field HR. You will monitor, maintain, and report the effectiveness of programs and tools, and seek continuous improvement and alignment with Gerdau.

Your Work:

This position will be responsible for providing guidance and functional support to the field HR (managers and generalists) for learning and development processes. The focus will be on designing and developing solutions, which HR will implement in their assigned customer groups. The company's projects and priorities will determine which Organizational Development processes this position will be responsible for at any given time, and therefore, this position must have the ability to be cross-functional and adapt to changing priorities.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Cooordinate the learning process, governance and ecosystem for North America (US and Canada).
  • Analyze training needs of the organization and formulates development solutions.
  • Support and assist implementation of programs to develop and retain employees.
  • Support and assist in the design and implementation of pipeline programs.
  • Develop training content and supervise their development by outside suppliers.
  • Manage training and development vendors, resources, systems, tools and budget.
  • Facilitate internal workshops and leadership training.
  • Manage the Learning Management System - Success Factors for North America.
  • Update and maintain training catalogs, curriculas, content and training plans.
  • Monitor and report the effectiveness of training and other OD programs.
  • Customize and implement learning and pipeline initiatives from the Global Center of Expertise.
  • Support and develop the field HR in the strategy and execution of the processes mentioned above.
