Description

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Talent Acquisition Manager in Mechanicsville, Virginia. The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for collaborating with management and hiring managers throughout the company to identify staffing needs, develop effective recruiting strategies to attract the best talent, and providing guidance on recruiting strategies, industry trends and market data, delivering continuous improvement based on internal and external best practices, and ensuring requisitions are delivered with excellence using creative sourcing methods. We’re seeking candidates with a minimum of five years’ experience in Recruiting/Staffing in a corporate environment, and a minimum of two years’ experience with direct management of a recruiting team.

Requirements for the Talent Acquisition Manager position include:
  • Must be able to guide recruitment team in the development and execution of action plans that produce talent acquisition results.
  • Able to monitor business environment to support and guide management in identifying and addressing talent acquisition challenges.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws for all states with company offices.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, analytical, and data driven.
  • Knowledge of job posting sites and professional social media platforms, such as LinkedIn.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team that is reliant on each other to succeed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong listening skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Excellent customer satisfaction skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Able to travel and work hours required by job.

Physical requirements must be met for the Talent Acquisition Manager job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 10 pounds in weight. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned.
