Dermalogicas Research & Development department is looking for a bright, talented individual who is looking for an exciting opportunity as part of the Regulatory team at an exciting time of growth and expansion of the Brand.

The Regulatory Affairs Associate will support R&D and Regulatory on science-driven innovative product launches, as well as expansion of the Brand to new markets, playing a supportive role for formulations, ingredients, and artwork for successful and timely global distribution. Works closely with outside suppliers to gather and validate the raw material documentation, and to perform the product testing and sampling required for a successful launch. Entry of Regulatory data for each Raw Material into Database. Additionally providing support for existing products in these same areas.

Key Job Functions:
  • Helps with all validation activities for approved ingredients in formulas
  • Oversees communication with all outside suppliers to gather raw material data needed for formula validation, escalating requests as necessary to ensure urgency is communicated
  • Helps to keep the raw material database up to date
  • Helps review labeling (e.g. product labels, websites, inserts, brochures, etc.)
  • Supports Research and Development in initiate, schedule, prep, and pack samples and manage product testing and clinical trial requirements
  • Monitoring key regulatory dates in the web-based project management planning system
  • Supports the product validation process and documentation
  • Assists with the upkeep of the validation documents in R&D project folders
  • Supports R&D Department with information pertaining to product development, product validation, and registration
  • Supports International markets in documentation needed for registration
  • Streamlines processes where possible

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelors degree required, preferably in the Sciences or equivalent
  • Minimum 1+ years experience working in the science-based function, preferably in a cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or food environment
  • Experience with Skincare category products is preferred , including past experience with OTC products
  • Familiar with regulation and laboratory environment
  • Familiar in Cosmetic/OTC raw material safety and regulations
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication skills
  • PC literate in Word and Excel

  • Ability to changing priorities, and able to multi-task numerous activities at once to meet established timelines
  • Ability to build trusted relationships inside and outside the company
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and a self-starter
