As one of the nation's largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions we are expanding our staff and seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join the FSG San Antonio team.

As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for performing HR-Employee Experience related duties on a professional level and working closely with Senior Management in supporting HR processes, Initiatives, and engagement activities. This position will manage the daily functions of the HR Department in the San Antonio office which includes hiring, onboarding, employee lifecycle administration, benefits administration, policies, and engagement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service focus, analytical thinking, organizational skills, detail-oriented, computer-savvy, results-oriented, and act professionally and ethically at all times. Primary Responsibilities:


    • Manage the daily function of HR in the San Antonio office with a headcount of 350 mixed exempt/non-exempt employees
    • Onboard new hires including verifying and maintaining employee documentation.
    • Attend and participate in disciplinary and termination meetings.
    • Assist in resolving HR-related issues within the San Antonio office.
    • Assist with HRIS administration.
    • Follow up on employee requests and/or issues that are HR lifecycle-related.
    • Support HR department with Open Enrollment, Performance Management, and other needs.
    • Update in-house employee database with accurate information.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by HR Leadership.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:


    • Bachelors Degree with an emphasis on Human Resources or similar discipline.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience with an emphasis on Employee Administration, HR Operations, or Employee Experience Process Initiatives.
    • STRONG Customer Service attitude.
    • Results-oriented and with a strong sense of urgency and accomplishment.
    • Strong Communication Skills and High Emotional Intelligence.
    • Must be local to the San Antonio market.
    • Must be able to work full time in our San Antonio office.
    • Background check and Drug screening will be requested
    • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Ability to multitask while staying organized
