Summary
Under the direction of the Consumer Loan Funding Manager, the Consumer Loan Funder is responsible for performing duties related to processing and booking of a wide variety of member and dealership loans.  Ensures all loan funding documentation is processed correctly, completely and in a timely manner.  Performs loan processing functions including, but not limited to data entry, filing, document preparation, auditing and quality assurance.   Works directly with members to develop, expand and maintain positive consumer lending relationships.  Provides prompt, efficient and accurate support to members, dealers and co-workers from the application stage through the funding process.

Works closely with Lending Specialists and Relationship Specialists on loan fulfillment, including sending and receiving loan documents.
Receives dealership application packages for funding; verifies accuracy of paperwork. Verifies information with members when required.  
Provides quality control for all loans prior to funding. Reviews all loan applications for regulatory compliance and conformance
Evaluates all completed loan packages received for funding to minimize risk or loss.
Understands LoansPQ and their application process.
Runs Kelley Blue Book®, AutoCheck®, computerized vehicle registrations and ChexSystems reports. 
Assists management with the quality control, tracking and archiving of new account signature cards and questionnaires for the Lending Center and Indirect Loans.
Prepares and provides reports to management on the daily, weekly and monthly progression of Consumer Lending’s performance to budget analysis.
Receives member application packages for funding and verifies accuracy of paperwork. Verifies information with members when required.
Resolves member and dealer concerns and questions. 
Understands how to calculate complex verifications of pay stubs/wages. 
Understands and remains current on LOANLINER® documents and resources. 
Balances, tracks and prepares reports for general ledgers to include Loan Protection, Guaranteed Asset Protection and Major Mechanical Protection.
Calculates payoffs on vehicle loans for dealerships while ensuring member loan retention. 
Processes all adjustments and changes on all consumer loans.
Computes payment calculation verifying interest and principle calculations.
Responds to member problems and requests, when necessary, and assists with completion of forms and documents. 
Distributes incoming fax documents, maintains machines, orders forms, documents and supplies when required. 
Prepares and maintains a variety of loan records, documents and files. 
Assists in training and directing branch employees when necessary. 
Assists members in understanding how their payments are posted to their accounts                                                                                        
Performs within the lending limits approved by the Board of Directors.   
Explains reasons for denial, approval and explanation of loan stipulations. 
Works cooperatively with members, dealers and fellow employees. 

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge. skill, and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this position.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge and understanding of consumer lending procedures, practices and policies and credit fundamentals as would normally be acquired through experience in branch operations.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
None.

Knowledge
Experience with Symitar® and Loans PQ®.
CA DMV policies and procedures.
Advanced skills in Excel and Word.
Experience with computer systems and software.

Other Skills and Abilities
Operates a variety of office equipment and machines.
Ability to travel, attend, and participate in meetings, seminars, and conferences held before and after normal business hours that may require unaccompanied long-distance travel and overnight lodging.
