Description
The Unilever Prestige Division is a set of companies that create, manufacture, market, and distribute premium personal care products across the globe. The Legal Coordinator will work across the Unilever Prestige portfolio of companies to ensure timely compliance with corporate requirements in various jurisdictions.
The person will be a Dermalogica employee reporting in to the General Counsel, based at the Dermalogica corporate headquarters in Carson, CA with hybrid 3 days per week on site guidelines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma required. Bachelors degree desirable and preferably experience working in an administrative position utilizing research techniques.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
The expected wage range for this position is $23 to $25 per hour. The exact pay is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Corporate Records Management:
- Ensuring that the required and appropriate corporate records are maintained for the dozens of companies that comprise the Prestige portfolio across the globe.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant deadlines for items like shareholder meetings and Board meetings.
- Corporate director responsibilities:
- Collection, comprehension, and distribution of materials related to duties of corporate officers and directors in various countries.
- Ensuring that officers and directors have relevant, digestible information related to their duties.
- Ability to explain to corporate directors and officers the potential for personal liability, taking into account operating agreements and available insurance programs.
- Formation of entities:
- Utilize internal resources to form new corporate entities as required in compliance with internal requirements.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tax guidelines:
- Leverage internal company resources to understand tax implications for director appointments. This does not require prior knowledge of tax matters.
- Ensuring compliance with additional regulatory requirements such as cosmetovigilance reporting and the proper appointment of data protection officers and responsible parties for product importation.
- General administrative duties in the Legal Department.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma required. Bachelors degree desirable and preferably experience working in an administrative position utilizing research techniques.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Excellent organizational and written communication skills.
- Exacting attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams).
- Basic understanding of corporate structures and division of responsibilities between Boards, shareholders, managers, and employees.
- Active listener who is service oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, pleasant and respectful demeanor.
- Self-motivated.
