Description
This position is responsible for daily operations of the contract. Responsibilities include ensuring contract performance standards are met. Position will be the liaison and first point of contact with the government contracting officer representative. Ensure the development of leadership staff to include training on policy and procedures. Manage the contract within the contract guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of 4 years custodial or service-related management preferred
- Experience in a large volume contract or industrial setting preferred
HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years old or older
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
- Pass background check and badge requirements to enter all assigned buildings
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess good communication skills, human relation skills, ability to adapt to new situations, handle stressful situations, and is a proven leader
- Represents DRTC in a professional manner to employees and customers
- Possess a valid Oklahoma Driver License; must provide copy to Human Resources office upon hire and upon renewal
- Must have reliable transportation
- Maintain state mandated minimum liability insurance on personal vehicle used to transport janitors; must provide copy of insurance Declaration Page to the Human Resources office initially and upon renewal.
- Pass bi-annual motor vehicle registry (MVR) checks with established agency guideline
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Must provide record of annual flu vaccine or be willing to submit to annual flu vaccine, if assigned to oversight the Child Development Centers at Tinker Air Force Base
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Contract Manager may be exposed to extreme hot and cold temperatures in industrial areas; prolonged periods of walking and standing may also be necessary. Must be able to operate a vehicle for travel/transportation purposes related to work.
JOB CONDITIONS:
Hours for the Assistant Contract Manager will vary according to agency needs. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 7am – 4pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.
This position is exempt and does not receives overtime pay.
RESPONSIBILITIES – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sets goals and priorities for employees whom they supervise.
- Responsible for overall Safety compliance in accordance with OSHA and DRTC safety systems.
- Participates in the development of policies and procedures through Federal Contract Admin Meeting as well as updates to the Operations Manual.
- Upgrades management skills and expertise to lead the management team at Tinker towards a goal of providing the highest quality service.
- Keeps supervisor apprised of overall information and potential problem areas. Arranges meetings with DOC to resolve problems.
- Responsible for the over sight of computer files and setting goals for upgrading computer effectiveness with the DOC.
- Consult supervisor before doing anything new or different or anything unusual regarding the tenants or Tinker.
- Other duties as assigned by, especially in relation to the development of other Source America projects.
- Accountable for carrying, maintaining and proper use of a company cellular telephone that will only be used for company business.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO CUSTODIAL PROJECTS
- Oversees the assurance of the highest standards of cleaning procedures and ensures all aspects of the Performance Work Statement are met by utilizing acceptable industry standards.
- Oversees and performs proper scheduling of personnel to complete the requirements of CSAG/O&M Custodial services Performance Work Statement.
- Recommends to supervisor plans for frequency and cleaning schedules, training, personnel utilization, and equipment replacement.
- Oversees the custodial services for all buildings under this contract and any modifications during the term of the contract.
- Oversees proposed responses to customer complaints with the DOC and coordinates with Government evaluators for service of facilities.
- Ensures proper uses of chemicals are maintained and safety standards are met.
- Directs and advises custodial management staff on training required to ensure the highest degree of proficiency in all operations.
- Identifies needed area of training then monitors and upgrades the staff supervised.
- Monitors overall Progressive Coaching process for employees on assigned contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY
- Operates project within the approved annual expense budget and amendments thereof as developed with the DOC.
- Approves all DRTC/CSAG purchases including petty cash, credit cards, gas cards as assigned by the DOC.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS
- To represent all Custodial Projects and/or Source America in all relevant and appropriate situations, as assigned by DOC.
- Administrative/management duties as assigned by DOC.
RESPONSIBILITIES - ANCILLARY FUNCTIONS:
- Is permitted reasonable time to participate in workshops, credit classes, or other appropriate professional development skills.
- Will attend meetings, in-service, etc., as scheduled.
- Is encouraged to participate in associations to promote DRTC.
- Transport employees as needed from assigned gate to assigned building at beginning of shift, and from designated building to assigned gate at the end of shift.
