Director of Human Resources

Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting for a Director of Human Resources to join our client located in the Capital Region, New York area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of legal compliance, employee relations and possess professional ability to fulfill the obligations of the HR function. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish human resource policies and procedures in accordance with current best practices and senior management goals and objectives. Collaborate with all levels of leadership to foster high performance, customer focus and employee engagement.
• Oversee efforts to recruit and retain high quality talent for the organization. Develop new sources for recruitment, and ensure selection, onboarding and orientation systems are operating efficiently.
• In conjunction with the executive team, establish compensation systems in accordance with company philosophies and business objectives, including attractive benefit programs that maintain high levels of employee satisfaction, while remaining competitive in our marketplace.
• Lead organizational development initiatives, including performance management systems and the continued development of a team-oriented culture.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable labor law and regulations, including safety, equal employment, immigration, workplace investigations, etc. Act as liaison with legal professionals where necessary.
• Lead employee relations and develop effective employee retention initiatives, fostering a positive mutual relationship.

Requirements/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years relevant experience in Human Resources administration.
• At least 5 years in a leadership supervisory role, preferably in a company with significant field operations.
• A certification as an HR professional (PHR, SPHR, etc.) is preferred.

Salary:

• $130-150k base, plus auto allowance and bonus.
