Our client is seeking a seasoned VP, Human Resources, to lead the human resources function of their new standalone company.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as an HR leader with a strong background in standalone company operations including but not limited to benefits administration, payroll management, recruitment, and employee relations.  This role requires a strategic mindset as the company aims to double in size organically and expand significantly through mergers and acquisitions in the future.


The selected candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and growth plans.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Plant Managers and Plant Administrators, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, succession planning, and talent management initiatives.
  • Lead change management efforts to support the company's growth trajectory and integration of acquired entities.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and practices to promote a positive work environment and enhance employee engagement.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and respect.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to optimize HR processes and systems for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on all HR-related matters.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on standalone company operations and corporate HR functions. 
  • Proven track record of leadership and management in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Experience working in a carve out as well as M&A integration experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Experience with benefits administration, payroll management, and talent acquisition.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into HR initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.


Salary Range:

  • $180-250k +/-
