Contract Registered Nurse

Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting a Contract Registered Nurse to participate in the development and delivery of educational efforts for hospice and palliative care related initiatives across New York State.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify and recommend training needs, accurately interpret, and communicate federal and state regulations, and review and analyze research and provide data to promote best clinical practices related to end of life care.
• Will work directly with regional and central office staff responsible for quality assurance and improvement of Hospice and Palliative care, taking steps to ensure guidelines are met and model practices communicated.
• Will interpret and provide clarification on existing standards, requirements and policies
• Will represent the department at meetings and public forums focused on end-of-life care
• Will more with the center Director to ensure the goals of the center are met

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse, licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State
• Preferred candidate will have exceptional organizational skills as well as strong time management, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
• Must have excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge and proficiency of all Microsoft Office products and experience with data systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• The ideal Candidate will be familiar with standards, rules and guidelines governing end of life care.
• The candidate will be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.  

Salary:

• $60.00-65.00/ hour
