$71,000 / year - (includes base hourly rate of $23 hr plus, weekly production bonus, shift & Sunday premiums, and 354 annual hours of built in overtime)

Your Qualifications:

• The desire to learn new roles and grow with the company.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required. If you do not have a HS Diploma or GED, you will need to successfully pass an entrance exam.

• Ability to work a Dupont 4/3, rotating 12-hr schedule including days, nights, & two weekends a month.

• Proficiency in heavy equipment operation.

• Basic Computer skills.

• Able to lift up to 50lbs.

• General math skills, advanced problem-solving, and ability to multi-task.

Your Purpose:

To maintain safety, proper equipment operation, and housekeeping. To assist in the loading of outbound trucks and rail cars as well as working alongside finishing operations to for mill operations.

Your Work:

• Work safely in a very fast-paced shipping environment.

• Follow all safety rules and regulations for the plant and area.

• Routine tasks that are physical in nature including, but not limited to: lifting, walking, climbing steps, etc.

• Operate overhead cranes, heavy duty forklift, and tractor trailer to transport material between warehouses on Gerdau site. (No CDL required).

• Basic computer skills.

• Assist in loading outbound truck and rail shipments.

• Assisting mill catching production.

• Complete pre-use inspections on equipment.

• Operate handheld scanner.

• Cleaning as instructed & general housekeeping duties.

• Inspect finished product per procedure.

• Crosstrain at next promotion level position. (Receive higher position job pay once fully trained and capable, when filling in at cross-trained position).

• Follow prescribed procedures and verbal instructions.
