PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Gerdau is seeking college students to participate in our G.Start program. G.Start is a paid internship program with the goal of developing students for future technical and managerial positions. G.Start is a program that values the diversity and inclusion of our business and society.
Gerdau is looking for G.Start candidates who have an eagerness to grow personally and professionally, being a part of a global company with more than 120 years of entrepreneurship and achievements in the steel industry. This program is for individuals with high learning agility and willingness to adapt and develop continuously, who aim at consistently outperforming in a variety of settings and circumstances.

Gerdau is a leading steel manufacturing company, operating in seven countries, and employing over 30,000 individuals. The North American business divisions (Gerdau Long Steel North America and Gerdau Special Steel North America) produce long and special steel products for the agricultural , automotive, civil construction, distribution, energy, industrial, and mining markets . We stimulate the economy through our network of recycling operations, mills, and downstream locations, operating eight mills in the U.S. and three in Canada. Our mills utilize efficient and clean production practices, including the use of electric arc furnace (EAF) technology. The use of this technology and its process makes our steel one of the greenest choices available.

What You'll Learn:
- This position offers the chance to showcase your creative talents, to apply the concepts from your degree in real-life communication campaigns and to gain a diverse marketing skillset
- Gain experience working on national and local advertising campaigns; develop a diverse portfolio supporting our various product areas
- Learn and utilize a variety of ad platforms, marketing tools, and technologies, such as: Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Instapage, and Google Analytics
What You'll Do
- Assist in designing marketing content including graphics, videos, and sales tools
- Support the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns
- Help write copy for ads, social media, and other marketing collateral
- Assist with landing page development
- Monitor marketing campaign performance and make data-driven recommendations
- Conduct competitor marketing research and analysis
- Help analyze and improve our online experience
- Maintain consistency in brand messaging, tone, and style across all media
- Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions
- Stay updated on marketing trends and best practices
Position Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field
- Ability to provide a portfolio showcasing your work
- Advanced knowledge in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, and video editing tools
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with the ability to take direction and turn it into action; able to work with low direct supervision if needed
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh ideas and concepts
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
