QUALIFICATIONS:

At least two years of experience in food service or completion of a certified food training program is preferred.  Dependability and professionalism are required at all times while on the job.

 

HIRING REQUIREMENTS: 

  •   Must be 18 years old or older
  •   Must be able to pass background checks that are required to enter work site and any other background check agency deems necessary
  • Must meet badge requirements for all assigned buildings.
  • Must meet AbilityOne eligibility requirements as a person with a significant disability, if applicable

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have regular and punctual attendance
  • Must be able to work independently

 

SCOPE:  Will be responsible for assistance in meal preparation, setting up serving line and the over-all clean-up of the kitchen.

 

SUPERVISES:         This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

JOB CONDITIONS:

This position is scheduled on a weekly basis.  The workweek may vary to fulfill operational needs and will include a 30 min break.

  • The work week is Saturday through Friday with a thirty minute meal break.  Breaks are given when schedules allow.  Some positions will require individual to work a split shift. 
  • Required to complete DR/TWP’s Food Sanitation and Safety course, Contractor’s badge, and vehicle registration before employment begins.
  • This position is non-exempt and does receive overtime pay at time and a half for over 40 hours worked per payroll week.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The following physical requirements are necessary to meet this Job Description:

  • Standing up to 8 hours
  • Able to lift maximum weight of 50 pounds vertically*
  • Able to lift maximum weight of 25 pounds horizontally*
  • Weights of items exceeding max weight capacity require a two-person lifting policy
  • Additional physical requirements to be considered depending on the area assigned.
  • Able to carry above described weights a maximum distance of 100 feet*
  • The position requires standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, crouching, and kneeling.  May also grasp, push, pull, drag and lift equipment and other items.
  • Must have mobility, vision, and dexterity levels, appropriate to the duties to be performed
