CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
PITTSFIELD, MA
 
Fusco Personnel is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our client’s financial operations, reporting, and governance. The CFO will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of the organization while supporting long-term strategic planning. This individual will collaborate closely with senior leadership to integrate financial controls, policies, and priorities across business operations.
 
The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who can balance strategic insight with hands-on management—overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and banking relationships to optimize performance, cash flow, and risk management.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Executive Leadership to provide financial guidance and support in evaluating strategic plans, capital expenditures, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Communicate financial information effectively translating complex data into clear insights for diverse audiences, from the Board of Directors to operations and sales teams.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and review of P&L and Balance Sheet statements to drive cost control and performance improvement.
  • Implement and maintain strong financial controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risk.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls across all financial operations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
  • Oversee accounting procedures and lead the accounting team to operational excellence.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering professional growth and succession readiness.
  • Utilize data analysis and modeling to support decision-making.
  • Drive ERP system utilization to improve integration between accounting and operations, streamline processes, and enhance data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct job cost analysis and reconcile actual costs with budgets to maintain cost control and margin accuracy.
  • Prepare and analyze Work-In-Progress (WIP) and cost-to-complete schedules, ensuring proper revenue recognition and variance tracking.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (required).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a project-based accounting or financial management role.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Proven success in leadership, risk management, communication, and strategic financial planning.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience leading financial operations in a growth-oriented organization preferred.
Salary Range
$185k-$205k
