SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER

Albany, NY

Fusco Personnel is partnering with a nationally recognized, employee-owned construction firm that delivers complex projects across commercial, industrial, and institutional markets. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer who will be instrumental in ensuring projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role works closely with project managers, supporting all phases of work—from early planning through final turnover—by coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, managing documentation, and helping maintain steady project momentum.

Key Responsibilities

• Track workforce allocation and job-site productivity to support cost control and schedule goals.
• Create, process, and organize technical documents, including RFIs, submittals, and other project records.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with pricing, material sourcing, and the evaluation of change events.
• Build and update project schedules while collaborating with field leadership, trade partners, and subcontractors.
• Oversee final inspections, punch list completion, and project closeout materials.
• Support compliance with internal quality standards and QA/QC procedures.

Salary range: $95,000-115,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least four years of experience in construction management or a related project-focused role.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a similar discipline; equivalent hands-on industry experience will also be considered.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard project management software.
• Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and field coordination practices.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Exceptional organization skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and solutions oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial interiors or clean-room environments.
• OSHA safety certification.
• Willingness to travel or temporarily relocate based on project needs.
