Candidate Type: PA (Physician's Assistant)

Disciplines: ERM (Emergency Medicine)
Partnered with hospitals in coastal southern Maine that have openings for an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage.
About the Openings:
• Schedule: 8a-4p, 8a-7p, 1p-10p, or 10a-10p
• Shifts available at multiple facilities
• Annual Volume: ~14k patients
• Support Staff: MD, subspecialty teams
• EMR: eCW
• Paid travel & expenses
During your time off, relax on long sandy beaches, browse quaint shops and art galleries in a charming village center, and enjoy classic New England seafood at local restaurants.

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Physician Assistant Maine state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Physician Assistant program
• One year of work experience as Physician Assistant
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
