A medical center in eastern South Carolina has an opening for an Emergency Medicine physician to provide locum coverage.
Opening Highlights:
• Schedule: 11p-7a, primarily weekends
• Annual Volume: ~100k patients
• Daily Volume: ~190 ED visits on average
• Must be comfortable treating all ages
• All emergency medicine procedures are required
• 80-bed ED
• Support Staff: APPs, scribes
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses
During your time off, explore a regional art museum, enjoy kayaking or fishing on nearby blackwater creeks, and sample classic Southern barbecue and comfort food at long-standing local eateries.

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Physicians/Surgeon South Carolina state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Physicians/Surgeon program
• One year of work experience as Physicians/Surgeon
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
