Job Type: Locum
Disciplines: ERM (Emergency Medicine)
is collaborating with a hospital on the Outer Banks of North Carolina that has an opportunity for an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage.
Opportunity Details:
• Schedule: 10 or 12-hour shifts
• No call requirement
• Daily Census: 20 patients
• Will respond to codes
• ED Team Structure: 6 MDs, 3 APPs
• Specialty consultation available
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses
During your time off, relax on sandy beaches known for their steady surf, explore a coastal state park, and drive scenic stretches of barrier island roads.

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner North Carolina state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• One year of work experience as Nurse Practitioner
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
