Candidate Type: NP (Nurse Practitioner);PA (Physician's Assistant)
Job Type: Locum

Work Schedule: M-F
is collaborating with a hospital 30 minutes outside of Indianapolis, Indiana, with an opening for a Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage.
Opening Details:
• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 2 weeks per month
• No call requirement
• Will primarily cover the vascular clinic
• Monthly Volume: 8 surgical cases, 60 cath lab procedures
• Duties: Seeing new and established patients, conducting evaluations, and treating non-surgical cases
• Support Staff: Vascular surgeon
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses
During your time off, stroll through a charming downtown square, enjoy farm-to-table dining, and paddle, kayak, or fish along a scenic river.

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner Indiana state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• One year of work experience as Nurse Practitioner
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
