Candidate Type: CRNA (Nurse Anesthetist)
Job Type: Locum
Disciplines: CNA (Certified Nurse Anesthetists)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
Partnered with a medical center in northern Maine with an opportunity for a CRNA to provide ongoing locum coverage.
Opportunity Overview:
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-3p
• No call or weekends
• 5 ORs
• 43 beds
• Cases: Endo, GYN, urology, and general
• Blocks Required: Rectus sheaths, QL blocks, femoral adductor canal blocks, tap blocks, and interscalene blocks
• 90% outpatient, 10% inpatient
• EMR: Cerner
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses
During your time off, hike or photograph nearby waterfalls and forest trails, ski, snowshoe, or fat-bike along Nordic trails, and explore a historic blockhouse fort.

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered CRNA Maine state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited CRNA program
• One year of work experience as CRNA
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
