Description


Position Summary:

The Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) is a self-motivated professional responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in the outpatient dialysis unit. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care specific to dialysis needs. The RN ensures safe, efficient, and compassionate treatment while maintaining compliance with all clinical standards and protocols.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing chronic dialysis treatments.
• Assess and document patient condition and response to treatment.
• Administer medications and perform required procedures in accordance with facility policies.
• Monitor and maintain dialysis machines, ensuring safe and accurate operation.
• Educate patients and families on dialysis care, dietary needs, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Current and active
Montana RN License (or compact equivalent).
• Minimum
1 year of recent dialysis experience preferred.
• Current
BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in
Meditech EMR preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varying shift requirements.

Candidate Details

2+ to 5 years experience

Seniority Level - Mid-Senior

Management Experience Required - No

Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree

Willingness to Travel - Always

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Registered Nurse Vermont state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Registered Nurse program
• One year of work experience as Registered Nurse
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
