Job Type: Locum

Work Schedule: days and nights
Partnered with an established hospital in eastern Georgia that has an opportunity for a skilled Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist their team.
Opportunity Details:
• Schedule: 12-hour day and night shifts
• No call
• Patient Census: 16-20 per day
• 24-bed ICU
• Required Procedures: Intubations, central lines, and arterial lines
• Support Staff: Critical care physician in-house or on call
• Board certification required
• Paid travel & expenses
During your time off, catch a play, concert, or comedy show in a restored theater, explore a regional art museum, and kayak or take a guided boat ride through calm canal waters.

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner Georgia state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• One year of work experience as Nurse Practitioner
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
