Optimum is proud to partner with a reputable group in southern Texas that has an opening for a Diagnostic Radiologist to join their team.
Cover a general diagnostic and mammography caseload while enjoying flexible scheduling. During your time off, explore a vibrant downtown area or enjoy the area's scenic landscape.
Position Details:
• Shifts: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p CST
• Schedule: 2 weeks on/2 weeks off or every other week
• No call requirement
• Setting: Onsite, covering two main facilities
• Daily Volume: 120 cases
• Cases: General DX and mammography
• Procedures: Breast biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, FNA, fluoroscopy
• EMR: Cerner
• PACS: Synapse Fuji
• Dictation: Powerscribe 360
• BE/BC
Compensation & Benefits:
• Competitive base salary
• Medical malpractice with tail
• W-2 or 1099 option

Qualifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Radiologist Texas state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Doctorate of Medicine or Osteopathic program
• One year of work experience as a Radiologist
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
